This guide to the geology of the Edmonton region was published by the EGS in 1993. The publication was made possible through donations of various organizations and individuals. A copy was distributed to all delegates of the GAC annual meeting, held in Edmonton that same year. The book has sold well over the last 9 years, with total sales of 6000 copies. The success of this book can be largely attributed to its attractive full-color layout and its content that is understandable to the layperson. An extensive glossary at the back of the book gives useful references to the various geological terms used. This pocket-sized book contains easily accessible walking routes, which make it an excellent guide for tourists and local people.
